It has been a crazy yet phenomenal year. Minoru is almost 1 year old! In order to keep things running smoothly for the studio, I needed the help of all of my students. Thank you for being so patient. I did take on fewer students this year and our student gatherings and recital are showing less attendance. I’d like to improve the attendance for the upcoming year.
As we prepare for graduation and the recital, I encourage you to start thinking about songs for the Summer Video Contest! I will release the criteria in the next few weeks.
Keep practicing! and enjoy these photos I found from the student gatherings a couple years ago, that had the largest attendance ever from the studio!
Congrats to all of our participants for creating awesome videos and doing some fantastic singing! Join us again next year.

By now, all of my current students know that there is a baby on the way. We are now only 8 weeks away, so there aren’t many lesson opportunities left before maternity leave.
My goals are to teach until labor starts. Once labor starts, I will send an email to let everyone know we are officially on break. I will do my best to keep everyone updated during the following weeks so we can plan our first week back to lessons. I am hoping to start teaching again before school starts.
We will absolutely have the video contest this summer and I will be handing out the info in early June!

Thank you to all of those who participated in the contest and everyone who voted. Special thanks to our judges!
Hey Everyone, please come view our videos and vote for your favorite below. There are only 9 contestants so please watch all of the videos before making your decision. All 9 participants are members of my voice studio which means they are taking lessons with me. They were required to choose a song from a movie soundtrack. Students were allowed to lip sync their songs this year. They are being judged on intonation, tone quality, expression and creativity by my set of adjudicators and the top scores will receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Those 3 people will then be removed from the total votes and the remaining contestants will receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the highest number of votes. Since there are only 9 contestants, everyone will receive a prize this year. Since we won’t know who wins until the end of the voting, that means every vote counts!! Enjoy the videos at the following link: 2014 Video Contest
You can also vote for:
Jessica singing ‘Scarborough Fair’ from The Graduate.
To vote for Jessica, please comment ‘Vote for Jessica’ in the comment section below. Also specify if you want me to publish your comment or not (to remain anonymous). I will keep a tally for her either way.
